  1. I think I may have written that thing about Wandering Towers. How many Jon D's could there be? I figure since Jon is not a very common name and there are a plethora of letters that could potentially start a last name. So, If my math is correct, there can only be like 8 Jon D's in existence, so it must have been me. I do remember I liked the game.

  2. My Father's Work is terrific! top notch components, several good stories with multiple endings and very immersive. It is app driven and there are no voice actors so there is alot of reading but I highly recommend it!

  3. Kemet Blood and Sand…the Stargate game that could have been!! 😆Laughed at that …but so true! Lost opportunity really.

  4. Space Corps looks great. Put it on my list. 🚀

  5. The Red Cathedral is a new classic in our group and we play it very often.

  6. Love Mythwind so far! Started as the ranger, with my gf as the merchant. Then added my son in as the farmer for the second season. Then played the third season just myself as the ranger and the crafter. Once you get used to how the game plays, you can easily play as all the characters at once. As far as open ended, that’s a bit weird. I still like the playing of the game, but my gf was turned off by the fact that it doesn’t end. But there’s so many event cards, goal cards, and other things added to the game as you play, I can’t wait to play more!

  7. I backed Mythwind, but I did not realize it was a campaign game. My wife doesn’t care for campaign games, and is not even a big cooperative games. So I really blew this one. I may be trying to find an interested buyer….. I don’t know what to do, honestly….

  8. For what it's worth, we house ruled "TOOT TOOT" to "CHOO CHOO." Somehow it's more thematic for us this way. 🙂

  9. How The Wandering Towers wasn’t nominated for the Spiele last year is beyond me. It's a great game.

  10. Devir had a deal to publish Schmidt Spiele games for the English language market, so I’m hoping the For One series will get an English release

  11. Definitely need a Stargate game like Kemet… the one we have from 2004 is very much not good.

  12. Why isn't it a stargate game? Because working with that IP is a nightmare currently.

  13. The Mythwind game interested me a long time ago when it was coming out, but we were new gamers. We also don't get to RPGs very often, but we really enjoy them when we get to them. Right now we're thoroughly enjoying Sleeping gods: Distant Skies. It's such a great Laukat game. It's fun to see what everybody's playing. Wandering Towers is a lot of fun. I would definitely like to try Aqua. GameBoyGeek talked about thinking it should be nominated for the Spiel de Jars, so I know it's got to be very captivating!! He doesn't say stuff like that lightly!

  14. Matthew: "I don't know where my wizards are. They're dead to me"

    Pallando, Alatar: 😭💀

  15. CloudAge is fun! Not sure why this one didn’t get talked about more. Also Great Western Trail is awesome! The best of the bunch is Argentina. In my opinion of course, but I don’t recommend starting there. The Rails to the North expansion is essential for the original. I wish it was included in the box for the 2nd edition.

  16. Ok, please forgive my tardiness, there is just so much going on out in the world and around me <swats at a fly> that I put off joining the Patreon until now. But, Boom Baby, I'm in!! So, I will be joining the discussion next month 😀

  17. I’d be up for a Stargate reskin of just about any game

  18. Thunder Road Vendetta is my Game of the Year for 2023. It's just wonderful, hilarious joy. If feels great to play, it's fast, it evokes the theme really well. I love it.

  19. I just got my copy of mythwind. I have painted all the miniatures and am slogging through the rules. Each character has a 30 page rulebook and there are 6 of them, not to mention a common 50 page rulebook. It is not daunting reading – the rulebook is just being very complete. It has been a pleasant read, but that is nearly 200 pages of reading so it is taking some time. However, I am trying to learn it all. You really would only need to read your character to play much like Root. Each character is very different like Merchant’s Cove. It will take a couple of weeks at my pace to finally get to the table, but everything seems very well designed and planned. Great set up and storage trays much like Unsettled.

  20. There's an upcoming reprint + expansion for Mythwind
