someone can correct me, but dim sum is the meal & experience. A dim sum menu features dishes typical to the dim sum meal experience. The dishes are just dim sum dishes, not 'dim sum' as a catchall. each dish has its own name, just like each thanksgiving dish isnt just 'thanksgiving. trying to be informative, not malicious. hopefully that provides insight.
