  1. Great list of games as always. Jelly of how many plays you got in person (as always) 😝

  2. Needed some dramatic music when Jamie was talking about Unmatched: "Now i want Every. Single. Set."

  3. If you like Rhino Hero, definitely look at Rhino Hero Super Battle. Bigger and better version.

  4. What a full month for you two! Lots of fun gaming!

I played 28 different games over 71 plays in Jan. About 60% of my games were on BGA. We played Lucky Numbers 17 times! Highly recommend that on BGA if you haven't checked it out yet. Super fun, super quick. My favorite games played in Jan were Dungeon Decorators, Three Sisters and Tiny Farms.

Arboretum is soo mean! It's in our trade pile because it is way too cutthroat for us.

I'm not a fan of Splendor. I'm quite looking forward to Space Explorers, which has similar engine building, but some really interesting mechanics of giving resources you spend to an opponent. Plus its space themed! It's on its way, so hoping to play that as soon as it arrives.

  5. Another Great Video! what a fun month of games played! We are currently working through a lot of our games we haven't played in a while (Play ya shelves). On a side note – I'd like to see an ENTIRE video of outtakes or gag reel soon! 🙂

  6. I am glad you guys took a break from the VS but also if you are on a hot streak team Jeff will rise from the ashes!!

  7. Wow, what an awesome month of gaming! I'm so glad you finally experienced Unmatched and both loved it! That's the game that brought me into the hobby. I have every set and recommend them all, but I will say that within the community, the consensus is that if you're not big fans of the Buffy IP, that's one you can skip (I am a fan, and wouldn't dream of skipping any sets, haha). Also just want to say that I would LOVE to see the Cuphead playthrough you mentioned, and any Dice Throne content that you sort of hinted at.

  8. I am a huge calico fan but I think I like Cascadia better. Excited for Verdant!!

  9. Unmatched rec: Robin Hood and Big Foot!

  10. OMG…your fast-forward squabbling is AMAZING!!!! Thanks for the great laugh!

  11. Dungeon Petz is one of my favorite games ALL TIME…it's just not the same experience BGA, honestly…there's just too much going on and it's hard to piece it together. On a table top, and especially with the expansion, that game is so so fun!

  12. JEFF! When are we playing Terraforming Mars on TTS? The 9th? How do we coordinate?

  13. You guys have nearly convinced me to look up Vast…almost…nearly there…

  14. One way that Clans of Caledonia might be able to be explained is that it’s a simpler Terra Mystica with a theme and mechanics that make more thematic sense than Terra Mystica because it involves the extraction of wood and mining resources as well as the creation of resources via farming, and then allows you to purchase and sell those resources in a market. It all makes intuitive sense although the farming theme might be comparatively boring for some people.

  15. So glad you guys think that Skate Summer is good. I just backed it last week!

  16. Been waiting for this, it’s always a good part of my Tuesdays 😄

  17. Came in from that Bizzard to this ….nice

  18. lol, starting off strong with the Wreckx-n-Effect lyrics!

  19. Just curious if you’ve tried Roll Player Adventures yet. Would be interested to hear your opinion of the game.

  20. What a fun month! We also played Nemesis and Radlands this month, and they're both such amazing games 🙂 Are y'all looking into getting Nemesis Lockdown edition? It might be worth investing in since it improves a lot on the base game but still provides a similar experience to the base.

  21. So glad you both enjoyed Feast! I’m still laughing at myself for underestimating that teach over text. 😂

  22. Finally – the weather us back in the 70's – I keep looking at Cascadia and hope you will do a video on it!

  23. OMG I would love to see some Villainous style game day with Dice Throne! Draft your characters and go head to head.

  24. Ughh, I am jealous of how much board gaming you're doing. Glad you had a great first month! Also, Happy Lunar New Year!!🧧

  25. Awesome video and month! We're currently addicted to the Dice Throne universe. Also, LOVE all things LOTR (been a diehard fan since the late 1970's) and Confrontation is definitely one of those things. We have Radlands Deluxe next in line and I can't wait. I just need to get my wife to put Dice Throne aside for a few minutes. 🙂

Question: I may have missed it but was what your player count for Coup? It's mostly my wife and I but sometimes our teenage daughters and their friends like to jump in. Do you have a preferred player count?

  26. What a great month of gaming!
I love Nemesis and am looking forward to the stand alone expansion.
I recommend a playing unmatched with Bruce Lee, the. Velociraptors, or Bigfoot.
What is your favorite 1v1 game? Unmatched, Redlands, dice Throne, something’s else? … maybe that could be a fun video for you to do.

  27. After watching the previous year in the last week it feels great to be able to follow this years journey alongside you! Looking forward to this!!

  28. Looks like a great month. Regarding LotR, did you ever consider playing War of the Ring? It is a super long game but it is soooo good.

  29. I only realized Toekneegee now, if that is who you are talking about 😀

  30. Final Girl seems pretty interesting. I may add it to my wish list. I really want to get Radlands, the look and theme😍😍.
I just played Isle of Cats for the first time on BGA. Not going to lie, I'm not sure how to play it.
Feast for Odin and Nemesis really calls my attention.
I really love Coup and The Mind.

  31. I have had wester legends for over a year and still haven’t got it to the table yet

  32. Twilight Struggle, played that (13th of BGG currently)? Its the game people take on before COIN games, sort of best if you lived through that era. Two player game, head to head, nasty, but Id be shocked if you both liked it. Got a few classics done this month! Good work! It's so fun to have played masses of different games and know whats happening in board gaming. Uwe makes great great games.

  33. Y'all are playing Cuba Libre with "your friend Rodney." Watch it Played Rodney??? Just saw that he loves that game and will play on Twitch. You gonna be on that stream?

  34. Hi! I've been watching your channel for a couple months now and when you did your top 10 for 2 players and you both recommended dice throne – I really gravitated to that game and went all in! Now I have potential game for you to try since I know you like the head to head type games

It's not out yet (not even on kickstarter) but they have it on tabletop simulator- Legays Allure and it's basically described as MtG meets chess. Not sure if this is your jam but I'd be interested in seeing your take on it (even if you wait until it actually comes out)

  35. I LOVE ARBORETUM! What a fun recap! Thanks folks

  36. Impressive list. I look forward to my copy of Nemesis arriving soon as part of most recent Kickstarter. Safe travels!

  37. Would love to see a cuphead playthrough! Are you guys thinking of going to GenCon?

  38. The most recent set of Unmatched is excellent. I have long appreciated the spatial puzzle of the game and the second volume introduced uneven ground. The lines between spaces are either +1 or -1 depending on the direction and it really makes the board much more dynamic. It’s amazing. If you want the strongest character – that’ll be Bruce Lee and he’s expensive. But holy poop he’s powerful. I also really like the monkey king in the new set. My daughters favorite is Little Red riding hood. I don’t have any of the IP characters just the historical and literary characters. I’d rather get my IP dose from other games. And holy moly Cuba Libre! Stretch those gaming muscles! Fantastic …and then A Feast for Odin!!!!! My numero uno!

  39. I came for the J&J, I stayed for the Kyle.

  40. 6 nimmt is so insanely hard to find in canada! (also v v jealous of your final girl set)

  41. Love that its not just us that try something new on BGA then end up just pushing whatever it let's you and completely failing at it 😄

  42. You guys were busy! Love the dice throne backdrop, one of our favourite games. Radlands deluxe edition showed up yesterday, can’t wait to try it. Also have owned unmatched season 1 for a few months now and haven’t tried it, but you guys motivated us to move it up on the list.

  43. Wow so much game envy. I think i've played like 3 games all month 😭 My semester started and its definitely my hardest one yet and I feel like i'm drowning… my partner asks every night, "game tonight?" and i just keep having to say no 😕 maybe later this month i'll be able to get some games to the table….
can't wait to watch your board game weekend episode and hear more thoughts on some of these!

  44. I love Nemesis…is there a better thematic game than that? It feels just as brutal, violent, and hopeless as the Aliens movies..So good, so brutal. Just got Western Legends yesterday, so glad to hear that it's fun. Looking forward to introducing that! Clans of Caledonia = zzzzz…in my humble opinion.

  45. CuBirds! I have the physical game and we also play it on BGA. Addicting! We call the owl the "big blockhead" and the robin "little blockhead.

Will probably pick up one or two scenarios of Final Girl before the KS runs out.
