  1. Is this a copy of Slay the Spire or is it the other way around?

  2. A͎u͎r͎o͎r͎a͎ B͎o͎r͎e͎a͎l͎i͎s͎ says:

question, can the players decide which of them acts first in combat? if not how is it decided ik how many cards each player has to play but not the orderty!

  3. Seems like it has unique gameplay. as much as I love dice, this 1-3 tiered card play is a cool mechanic. Do y’all like this fighting mechanic or does it get a little too AP prone in the later rounds?

  4. I am having a hard time understanding the playtime on this game… Is it approx 30-45mins per run until you die and start over after upgrading? If so, you could theoretically be playing this for 3-4 hours if you wanted to defeat the boss in one sitting? Otherwise I guess it is designed to allow you to treat it as a campaign game and pack it away to continue another day. Cheers for the playthrough

  5. So does that mean you cant actually ever lose this game? Its just play til you win or give up? Interesting!

  6. i was so excited for this game. But seeing it in action now seems kinda boring and not unique at all. Definitely gonna sit this one out 🙁

  7. I’m pretty sure you guys hit ‘em with the annexation of Puerto Rico

  8. One of the great features of this system is that you're guaranteed to get the "level up" part of the game at the end of the session. A lot of times in something like Gloomhaven you don't get to level up and I think that contributes to feeling grindy. I'm interested in trying this one out.

  9. This and StS will dominate my table when they come out!

  10. This game looks like a blast~ I'll definitely have to try it :3

Gotta mention tho, you guys only used 7 of your 9 cells in that first round and coulda had another upgrade XD

  11. How do you think it will scale at 3 and 4 players? Will it not become too easy?

  12. Looks great but I’m not a fan of cardboard tiles that keep the info on the other side hidden. They always get scuffed and show wear and tear and ultimately become identifiable. I wish they could find another approach to that

  13. so excited for this game i love the way they made it a board game

  14. I just need someone to tell me to ignore the fact I just dropped way too much money on the Santorini kickstarter and to back this too. TIA

  15. Great walkthrough on this game guys. Loved it.

  16. Wait. You don't even choose what your characters do? So the game plays itself and you just pick the route?

  17. You need a rune to go to Ramparts, and not to the Sewers? That seems backwards…

  18. Love the video! However, I was specifically looking for how long it takes to go from biome to biome (setting up everything), but you cut that part from the video. Boo! Otherwise, great job showing everything.

  19. One contention has been the combat. How do you feel about it

  20. This game looks amazing and does an excellent job of catching the rouge like feel of a video game. But I can't see myself getting this past "the teach" with a group of friends. There is a lot happening on the table at once, the actions (while pretty straight forward) are super tiny and will absolutely be missed from across the table, and it looks like there is a chance when playing 4 players someone is just sitting out watching everyone else have a good time.

This looks like it would be best as a solo game, but is it worth the price just to play a game by myself?

If you have a group of friends that love exploring new table top games, and are experienced in playing them, this would be a blast. But I can see most people being not being able to get past the draw step before someone at the table suggests cards against humanity as a pallet cleanser.
