  1. 18:00 Yes, agreed. That part of the game – and the engine building is a cool puzzle!… However, the 2nd part of the game, what to do after getting your units on the board, is what was a disappointment to me. That is why after the emotional high of actually getting to play it, the game fell flat for me for that reason – I didn’t really get a complete gaming experience (in my opinion).

  2. Clans of Caledonia IS criminally underrated!!! I LOVE that game!

  3. 4:50 Yeah, I’ve got to try Clans of Caledonia – as I like Terra Mystica (but I need to try Gaia Project first)!

  4. 6:45 …Which is why I wouldn’t like it… Betrayal at House on the Hill made me realize that I don’t like games which are so asymmetric that players are playing completely different games – within the same game.

  5. 7:05 Doesn’t matter to me… If you are playing a flip ‘n write, but I am playing a worker placement game – and Paul over there is playing a polyomino game, we are doing completely different things… so, unless we are all going to rotate and have a chance to play those other games, it just doesn’t work for me.

  6. 7:45 But I don’t like a game that depends on outside factors, such as “how well you know your friends”, in order to play/enjoy the game properly. I should be able to go into a game with people who I do not know – and be able to experience the game the same way as anyone else at that table.

  7. 9:31 Now we’re talking! I so want to play Dwellings of Eldervale! However, I have watched so many videos about the game – and I am currently reading the rulebook. I feel that I “know” it! I do feel the same way as you: it is easy to improve your chances at battle, by spending swords – and if you planned it properly, by moving in your adjacent units and/or using the placement of your dwelling (if in the realm) – or an adjacent dwelling.

  8. 14:34 I just don’t understand how anyone can play a game for 12 hours. How does it not get old, especially when you are waiting in between – on other players’ downtime, between turns? Also, do you go through it straight – or do you stop in the middle, leave the game out and come back to resume in another session?

  9. We definitely have some overlap in taste. I can't alway get these heavy games played, but I recently got Ares Expedition, so I'm excited to get to play a Terraforming Mars game more.

  10. Welcome to the channel Kyle. Enjoyed watching your top 10, looking forward to seeing more videos in the future!

  11. Quoting Michael Scott…. Kyles a winner already!

  12. Great addition to the channel. Might have to get Pandemic Legacy soon. Love to have those turning point moments. Thanks for posting!

  13. I’m from Columbus Ohio and absolutely love the Guardtower! It’s so cool you go to the same store!

  14. "A channel all about…line?"
    Yup…he'll fit right in 🙂

  15. Tom Vasel quote: "Your game does not have an alpha gamer problem, your gaming group does." 🙂
