Great video thank you! This has inspired me to get my unopened mage knight to the table this week. One quick question.. do you have a table cover or something? It looks really easy and satisfying to pick up cards, rather than scratching around on wood or plastic haha. Appreciate if you could help me find similar! Thank you.
Hi Shaggy, thank for this excellent breakdown…when are you doing the next playthrough? Dont forget! 🙂
Fantastic video! Now, I thimk its time to confront (again) this big box!
Stop showing us so many great games, I cannot buy them all !!!
Very curious to see how you will tackle the city battle in other scenarios.
ps. Joke is on you this time though, I already have it 🤣
This was so good! I haven’t played MK in years but this inspired me to open it up this weekend and get some solo games in. It was really easy to jump back in with this as a refresher!
Shaggi, you are the man. I'm late to board games but you have taught me so much over the past few months. Great introduction to Mage Knight – which I cant wait to get to the table and learn. Best wishes from the UK!
Always heard of game but was too overwhelmed by most videos. This video real intrigued and compelled me. Very clear and well done!
Hello Shagi 🙂
Been a while but still not feeling well. Most gaming is done sitting in my armchair, but I can see so many new boxes on the dining table that it is frustrating me 😣
Anyway, managed Shifting Stones on a tray…good puzzler (along with the usual IQ Smart puzxlers…keep my little grey cells working 😅
Do you know that I have Mage Knight since it first came out and found it rather convoluted so once I can hobble to the table I will rely on your tutorial…All the others failed !
As Always: My Kindest Regards 🙂

Sorry for bothering you Shagi, but when is the next MK adventure, please ?
Thanks.

多謝!
awesome playthrough, the details and explanations are so helpfull. i got stuck on all of the overwelming small rules on my first playthrough but i think i got the power to try it again now after watching your great video! Thanks alot👍
I have just got my ultimate edition copy, I hope I can spare some time to play it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the video!
I am a little confused with the setup you mention to remove cards 81 through 92 but i don't see that anywhere in the rulebook i have. For Solo i remove 109 to 112.I looked at the first reconnaissance on page 18 and i follow solo rules page 19 of the rulebook
Something that I wasn't clear about and I couldn't see mentioned here is what enemy units you use in the starting scenario and beyond. I brought mage knight ultimate edition and the enemy units from the expansions are quite complicated and powerful in conjunction with the starting scenario. Mage knight does a really bad job of explaining how to set up these initial starting scenarios as solo campaigns and certainly doesn't discuss this particular aspect of play. I really want to get into this game, but this aspect of play is somewhat intimidating and creates a very steep learning curve. Any idea whether you are meant to include all the enemy units or was the starting scenario only meant to be played with the base game units?
Thank you for this, hope you continue with your informative playthroughs. Keep up the good work friend.
Thank you so much for making this video, after watching it I finally understood how to play the game!
Took it off the shelf of shame where it had been sitting for years and had a blast!
great video, introduction to MK. would love to see another solo playthrough.
Question- at 33:30 you’re talking about the resistance break skill. Was that done correctly? Should the armour be reduced, then the resistance is added- so armour of 3 would go down to 2, then with physical resistance you need a 4? Or is it really 5 like you’ve said here?
Im so sad that i cant afford this game :/
The quality of this video is ridiculously high. There is nothing to criticise. I sure hope the Solo Conquest video is coming really soon. 🙂
Bro, pls answer. Aftele I finish this scenario, when I start another one do I reset everything or I can keep the progress and my char level?
I bought it a while ago as a gift to myself but got a bit intimidated by all the rules. This video is the push I needed to finally commence this absolutely behemoth. Thanks for making this video!!! ❤
My dad bought this for me as a kid, I can only now appreciate it lol
I just picked this one up last week and I'm so happy to see you have instructions for it! It's been on my wishlist for a long time but it looked pretty heavy so I've been nervous to try it. Thank you!
Very nice introductory video. Keep going
Thanks for tutorial. Keep it up.
Man your video editing is just on an insane next level. Not sure people understand how much time and effort this type of editing takes but its outstanding. Can't wait for you other MK videos to hit may it will be soon. thanks
Are you still planning to make a second video about Conquest mode? I love this one and would love to see more of Mage Knight
Just in case anyone else had this problem:
At around 2:54 he says "For this tutorial scenario, we only need to use numbers 65 to 80. Remove cards 81 through 92…"
My standard edition copy of mage knight came with 28 Advanced Action cards numbered 1 through 28. NOT 65 and beyond.
Even my game walkthrough book that came with the game says the words "65 through 80."
I searched high and low to figure this out thinking maybe I have bad cards or something. But thankfully at 3:01 he includes a picture of the cards that would be numbered "81 through 92."
If you are in my situation, THE REAL ADVANCED ACTION CARD NUMBERS TO REMOVE ARE 17 – 28!!!
I guess the seller included a Ultimate edition mage knight manual instead of the standard edition version.
3:14 SIMILARLY SPELL CARDS 109 through 112 are actually numbered 17-20!!!
i have this game and having finished your video i now know that i will be selling it lol too much upkeep for me. oh well. great video
Thanks so much for covering the game. It's still my #1 game of all time (and I co-designed the last 2 expansions). Great to see other channels covering it!
Thank you for this. I've been on the fence about purchasing this game but this video has convinced me it's worth a purchase.
