No.
Purely based on the number 1 choice, I wish I could like this video 100 times. Love the channel
time stamps pls
Thanks for sharing Jared 🙂 Interesting list.
Glad to see the love Castles of Burgundy is getting here on your channel. I bought our copy second hand and it's our most played game of the last couple of years.
You should check Nidavellir, it became my favorite set collection board game, and I am a big 7 Wonders fan.
I'm glad to see that Tyrants now is further in your list, I bought it thanks to you and also became addicted to it.
Wow you didn't like my particular favorite game! You're a doodyhead!
Just played Arkham Horror the lcg for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I can already tell it will end up being one of my top games
You might like Pax Pamir, 51st State or Ark Nova?
I looked through your videos and checked out the geek buddy thing on BGG and I only have one game suggestion I haven’t seen you mention, Trekking Through History (unless I missed something). I haven’t played the other trekking games, but I love this game. It’s light, but very satisfying to play, and it looks beautiful. I love it solo, two player, and even four with my in laws, who also liked it.
Great video as always!
No longer seeing as much area control games on your top 100 😢
No Rurik Dawn of Kiev
No Cthulhu Wars
No Chaos in the Old World
Do you mind sharing what your player group count typically has been this last year? Has your number of player at the table gone down which caused these games to drop off?
Any eventual consideration for Blood Rage/Rising Sun/Ankh?
Awesome video. Part of me wishes it was twice as long with more detail per title, but i'm happy with the result regardless!
How can you have X higher than Y? 😂
SI dropping was a surprise! I hope we get a Nature Incarnate video when the time comes 🙂
It's a wonderful world is a fantastic engine building game…as another fast card driven engine building game, what do you think of Jump Drive? Thanks for all your amazing videos!
I wonder if your love for Arkham horror the board game, mansions of madness, and the Arkham Horror card game would give you a strong enjoyment of Cthulhu death May die
Great video. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on Hybris: Disordered Cosmos.
I reckon it's the kind of worker-placement-but-a-little-different game that you seem to enjoy…
Heyyy i just restarted playing path to carcosa yesterday. I was trying out oathsworn and then it kinda reminded me of arkham horror, so I just started playing that instead lol. Love this game
Kolejka sounds very similar to the Indy PC game “Papers Please”. A hugely entertaining game of the same, if not very similar theme
I really enjoy this lost every year and a few hidden gems always pop onto my radar, thanks for putting these out!

Whoa Steph for parliament! That’s so cool. Best of luck.
YOKOHAMA REPRINT! YES! YES!
Another great video. Also appreciated the zoom in on the Spartacus card "Jupiter's C*ck"
I think Terraforming Mars could have stayed in my top 10 if the expansions had gone "Here's a "replacement* deck for playing with this expansion. I'd love to play a Curated Venus Next targeted version, or one that really tied Colonies in, but I don't want to play them together and I sold my copy from expansion fatigue (Though I'd generally be happy to play other people's copies!).
I feel like your group would have a great time with Moonrakers. It's like a version of Munchkin with all the things that makes Munchkin a grind fixed or removed. Tight negotiation, simple but fun deck building, sudden but inevitable betrayal and a neat space pirates theme. Also some very clanky coins, which is always a plus.
Slipping a bit, but still two games in the top 100! Thank you!!!
I'm guessing you've played Lord of the Rings LCG but just doesnt make the top100? – just asking given your #1 and as there are other Lord of the Rings games on the list. But anyway, awesome list – really enjoyed it!
Want to find friends to play board games so much! Just moved into dtla area 🙂
Peinate
Great job explaining all your games in just an hour! I'm in the process of re-doing my top 100 list and it's hard because there are so many games I haven't played since before I had kids!
Arkham Horror was also the game that turned me to board-gaming-as-my-main-hobby, and I have fond memories of it although we no longer own it. I've added Roll Camera to my want to play list after hearing you talk about it!
Have you played Challengers? It gave me a feel similar to a light Millennium Blades (the deckbuilding and tournament part), so you might like it.
'I like to play solo games two handed' 😉😉 Ambidextrous are we? 😂😂
Some games to check out (though you may have already): for groups- Just One, and Bang the dice game. For 1 to 4 players, Massive Darkness 2! What a fun dungeon crawl.
Have you played Pax Pamir 2nd Edition? Same designer as Root.
Hi, listening to this list helped me have an epiphany about a question you asked one time and that has kinda stuck with me. You asked about different hobbies and how a collection can come to completion/have a plan for the collection. But you said it seemed like board game collectors don't seem to have a purpose behind their collection.
Well my epiphany came when you were talking about Dune. You said that you think Dune: Imperium is the better game but Dune lets you experience the theme better. I was like well if he thinks Dune Imperium is the better game than why isn't it ranked higher than Dune. And then it hit me… I was like wow it's because he is valuing the feel of the theme higher than game design.
It helped me realize how to curate my collection…to think about the things I value in my board games, and how much weight that value should hold when decided if a game should be a part of my collection or not.
Like the value of being able to play with my family holds more weight than am I having to read text across the table a lot. But they both would be something I will consider when thinking about purchasing a new game or culling a game.
I really enjoy your top 100, you should try “Food Chain Magnate” “Rococo” and and one of the most funny and underrated games “Lords of Vegas”
GBY
Once again, I am pleased that The Captain is Dead is still in your top 100! Also, I see Concordia on your shelf and unless I missed it, how is that not on your list? It's a masterpiece!
Love it! Have watched it through twice now. Love your channel, unbridled passion for the hobby, and your nuanced perspectives.
Thank you and blessings for the rest of the year.
Love from across the pond in Aus.
I always love these but Spirit Island as number 3?? Oh man, I think NI is gonna turn that right back around, it’s absolutely brilliant! Dances Up Earthquakes alone…
Brass Birmingham : the set of cards does not shrink from the start because you play 2 then draw 2. And you play 2 cards per round , not 1.
In a 2 player game : you play 19 + 20 cards total , which is far more than 16.
But yeah, i's a masterpiece!
Great list! Always love when I'm picking up some games I've never heard of before, not just the obvious candidates
Love seeing Mosaic and ISS Vanguard making an appearance. Where did Beyond the Sun end up? Also, have you tried War of the Ring: The Card Game yet?
Honest feedback. I understand the claim that you are not sponsored, but a Youtube commercial every 3 seconds is a lot worse IMHO, then a logical sponsor that matches the hobby.
😂 I like how secure you are asking us (at least me) to recommend a game, I hope some day I play enough games to recommend st to you. As always enjoying your top100. You just sold "It's a Wonderful World" to me. 🤩
Have you tried Hansa Teutonica?
I want to play Healthy Heart Hospital and Kolejka. I didnt realize ISS Vanguard had Star Trek vibes so maybe someday. For now I’m enjoying Captain is Dead and Star Trek Missions.
I really wish i could get Oathsworn. But the price is killer in retail here in Sweden, have to hope for a third edition kickstarter.
Otherwise im going to probably checkout Libertalia and Roll camera
I think you would really like Pax Pamir: rich historic theming, potential for a lot of backstabbing, tight decisions from start to finish and many very exciting or heartbreaking moments
Have you played It’s a Wonderful Kingdom? If so, what are your thoughts on that game versus It’s a Wonderful World?
