  1. I agree it doesn't take a lot of plays to know if a game is for you or not, but maybe having creators have more plays might decrease the cult of the new. If you're not willing to play a game a dozen times should you recommend it?

  2. The Requiem is one of my favorite "jingles."

  3. I was really hoping Meltscape would make the top 10. 😔

  4. Game been playing King Toyko, fightin Treasure ghost hunters, King Dimiono, Ice Cool, Tokaido, Destines, Wingspan,Cartographers and Cat Lady.
Hoping play Scooby Doo game next. I just ordered Flamecraft. I had hard time deciding between Flamecraft and planet Unknown. Creature comforts is another one been eyeing and Adventure tactics. Also interested in monster Island.

  5. I agree, I think I can review a game well after 2-3 games

  6. The tune you hummed is "Serenade No. 13" and is indeed by Mozart!

  7. If reviewers would say how many times they played that would add credibility to the reviews. It’s valuable information because even if a game is great after 10 plays potential players might not want to put in that time investment. So after knowing that a game was bloody awful in the first play and the reviewer did not want to punish themselves by playing a second game, players can set expectations.

  8. Wingspan is also apparently on The Nintendo Switch as well. I have no idea if that correlates or not, but it is certainly everywhere. Heck, my wife is even setting it up as we speak right now, so we can play when I get home. She wants to get warmed up for the Asia expansion dropping soon.

  9. The best part of waking up, is Mozart in your cup

  10. We pulled out castles of burgundy this week. Was one of our first gamer games we ever bought. Played once and I hated it. Now 6 years later…I love it! Haven't beat my husband yet, but I will 😁

  11. I think yu can review a game after any number of plays as long as it is clear as to how many times you have played the game.

  12. For me, I don't care so much how many times the reviewers has played something as how compatible the reviewer tends to be with my tastes in gaming. That helps me more. Also, for me, if a game is broken, you don't need to play it multiple times to know that. I would say once or twice and you know if it's really messed up. No need to have miserable future play-throughs!

  13. I want the cards for Wingspan Asia. I don't think I want to play a new kind of Wingspan personally. I just want the cards. XD

  14. For Board Game reviewers, I've always thought 2 to 3 times. First one to learn, 2nd to understand, a third if they weren't sure how they feel about the game. PLUS can you imagine how much more of a workload for those folks if it was 5+ or 10+ required for the bigger games that take hour(s) per playthrough… (O_O) oof. Lol

  15. I think it depends on what kind of game it is. It's enough to play super light games 1 or 2 times before you review them. As they get heavier and/or bigger or if they are campaign games, I think they should be played more often before a review. And I think Legacy games should be finished before a review.

  16. We definitely wouldn't have Skrillex without Mozart🤣🤣
