"And next on our list is Radlands….because nothing says spring more than a group of post-apocalyptic survivors fighting to protect their camps from destruction." 😂 Hilarious video, guys!
what about Weather Machine it has science and weather and spring has weather and science 😂😂
Great list! Great fun! I'd add Herbaceous as a lovely set collection game with beautiful art. All we need for a fine Spring season is more sunshine fresh content from Jamie and Jeff!
I loved this so much! Jamie I laughed out loud at all your “springerisms”! Animals, plants, trees, bees, butterflies, dragons, flowers! It’s all spring ….cause science makes it so! So great! Thanks for the laughs! Also great list of games! ❤️
Wow I am very early and I am here for it! I really want to try Meadow, it just looks so pretty!
Half this video was Jamie convincing Jeff this games are spring time like and he is just not having it…lol I love it….ps Me and my wife couldn't pick a team on Patron so just got the 7 buck ter lol
Whoa! I can honestly say I have not played any of these spring games. I did pick up Honey Buzz after seeing it played at Pax Unplugged. It just arrived last week. Gonna table it this weekend. I thought for sure Everdell may have made it on the list. I have Cascadia, Calico and Meadow on my wish list. Of those three games, Jamie and Jeff would recommend getting ____________ first.
I’m thinking three sisters is going to need to be added to this list 😃
Meadow is great! I would also recommend Everdell and Creature Comforts (though they could also be seen as autumn or year around games)!
Jamies bird sounds were adorable. I had a great spring feeling last weekend.
Obligatory comment of most obvious spring game that you missed, Photosynthesis .
What about Your Shirt! Root! Don't plants / trees take "ROOT" in Springtime? 🙂 Love the banter and chemistry between you two! Thanks for the Vids!
OH… and Ohanami is a beautiful small card drafting game! Very "Spring Like" art… 🙂
You forgot Bunny Kingdom!! Bunnies emerge to take over territories to building fiefs….through drafting. Pink Bunnies!
Other spring favorites for me, Honey Buzz, Wingspan (cause birds = spring), Arboretum, and Everdell. Fun list you two!
There’s Equinox. 🙂
We loooooveeee you and Tussie Mussie. Not sure which to love more though?
YOU WILL LOVE MEADOW!
"Everything I said up until this point is scientific" That made me chuckle so much.
Just for fun, I kept hoping that Arkham Horror LCG was going to pop in there just to hear how you explain it being associated with Spring hahaha
Jamie had mentioned the smell of spring and I thought, "Well they are going to mention Petrichor for certain"…but you missed it.
Priceless as always! Surprised you guys haven't got the chance to play Meadow. So many games, so little time!
Animals have babies in spring so that they are almost fully grown by the time winter hits so they have the best chance to survive.
This is going on MY list of Most Hilariously Patronizing Jeff videos!
I wonder what the Bizznizz Beez are spiking their honey with to inspire such giggle fits?
Jeff how did you keep a straight face – you made me laugh! Jamie it was ridiculous! But I loved it!!!!!! Ok Jeff you did lose it🤪🤣
You guys are goofballs and it's delightful. Next time I have a bad day I'm gonna watch on a loop as you collapse in giggles over Honey Buzz. As for the actual games, the only one of these I have is Calico, and I have to agree with Jamie that it sets a very spring mood. The game itself might have nothing to do with spring at all, but aesthetically there's a definite spring vibe about it, and anybody who argues otherwise probably also believes Die Hard and Gremlins aren't Christmas movies.
Oh my gosh. This was hilarious. 🤣 Best video I have watched recently.
I've not even watched the video yet but I'm SO EXITED for another toplist video!!
Mood of every video: Jamie: A kid on Christmas. Jeff: Parent who got woken up super early on Christmas and is excited for their kid but also just wants to go back to sleep.
You guys make me crack up every video. Nothing makes me think of spring more than science! and dragons😂
I thought you might have mentioned Floriferous. Zee Garcia had a video recommending this game and based on that, I bought a copy but have not yet played it (I think it was on his best games of 2021 list). From the back of the box, "Your garden awaits! Spend the afternoon in your floriferous garden. Relax while enjoying this elegant game of picking, pairing, and arranging flowers. Find joy in the abundance of nature." That seems to have Jamie written all over it. 1-4 players, 20 minutes.
Jeeze… what about the most obvious game, right behind you?! Parks is a pretty springtastic game! 😂
Here in Puerto Rico spring is almost the same as winter. 🙂
Another fantastic one 👏 We laughed so much! Love the Spring sales pitches, dwarves spring looks fab, dragons are definitely so Spring, because the gold they love is the colour of buttercups 🤣🤣
This is such a genuinely nice theme for a video, and you both seem like you're having so much fun. This video makes me happy, thank you
Not sure if they are “spring games” or just nature games, but I immediately thought of photosynthesis and Lotus. Both beautiful games with amazing table presence
That was hilarious. I was watching it on the train and I actually lol at one point. People probably thought I was a weirdo. Jamie trying to convince Jeff was the best (all based on science, after science started to work back again in spring). Thanks for the good time.
Is video is the epitome of what I love about your channel. If there were YouTube Emmy’s this episode should be submitted.
🤣🤣🤣
I don't know if I would agree with calico. Parks would come first on my list. But I enjoyed video. Thanks
Omg i also hate June bugs im glad im not the only one! And i feel personally attacked by their ickyness because my birthday is in June and i always think "this is not the bug i would have wished for on my birthday! Why are these my bugs!"
I learned so many things from this video. When people think about you your nose itches, Calico is a Springtime game, and there's a type of tree called Canadian Maple. I think the game I want to play the most of these is Honey Buzz. You guys have had a lot of good things to say about that one. Thanks for the great video and knowledge.
Yay for Cubirds!
What season would you say Root is?
How did Wingspan miss this list? All the cute little bird eggs and the pastel colors scream spring to me.
I kept waiting for Spring Meadow. 🤓
“Science says that’s winter!” Jeff this is why I love you so much. My goodness was this video so fun.
In Arboretum the trees save their bullets so they can score. I don't know I always think of pirate ships or something with that one.
Well, Honey Buzz just came in the mail. I think we are learning and trying Citrus first and then Honey Buzz. We were just playing three or more games of Meadow when we played board games so maybe now we will take a break from that and play a few others. We have played Meadow 19 times in 3 weeks. You should try it. Remember to work on the easy icons on the campfire first, and set up your introductory food chains. Going second is a nice boon. And when claiming at the campfire don't forget to check what your opponent has and then gleefully screw them up.
AEG replaced a card and a token for Cascadia within 1.5 weeks of me asking since my new copy had defects. Impressive customer service there!
Rich and I played CuBirds again the other day… as you know: I suck at this game. Anyway, he beat me by a healthy margin and for 10 long seconds, I looked deep into his eyes… and then swept all the cards onto the floor.
So, Meadow has some Envelopes in it that are kind of like mini-expansions, and they tell you to open them on certain days or after certain events… Like, for Christmas we opened one that had some xmas themed cards, AND there is one envelope that you're supposed to open on the first day of Spring! So if you do this game again next year, I think Meadow should def be at the top of this list. haha (And I think I've mentioned before, but it. bears repeating: one of THE BEST solo modes of any game I have played).
This is why you guys are one of my favourite board game channels. This was too funny 😂
