Disappointed that “Risk 2210 A.D.” wasn’t on this list. That variant will fry your brain and keep you coming back for more world conquest.
While these are all great games I feel that this list is a little outdated, especially since all of the games mentioned on WatchMojo's Top Ten Board Games of the Century list are on here. Not that it's bad or anything, but not too many people enjoy Power Grid as much anymore, as there are better heavy games similar to it that have better looking boards. And you know Machi Koro got a sequel and a legacy version, right? Why weren't they mentioned here? And also where was Unmatched, Horrified, Nemesis and Gloomhaven? Those are games that definitely deserved to be on here, if not than an honorable mention at least
Should have gone with Mansion of Madness insted of Betrayal. So much better.
My favorite is Clank!
Question: in the King of NY, can we crash planes into twin towers approved by the government ?
SEA FALL WHAT….even the designer said it was not a good game…..going real down hill watchmojo your lists need to be peer reviewed
I need to play Teraforming Mars and Wingspan. Horrified may not deserve to make the list, but I just want to say that I like it.
I like a lot of the games on this list. Ticket to Ride is a great game for new gamers. However, my favorite game – Smash Up – sadly did not make the list. Smash Up is great if you like mixing ninja with Cthulhu or fairies with zombies.
20 games you've never heard of.
Although she's responsible for one of the most famous photographs of all time, Evelyn McHale's suicide still remains a mystery.
My favorite game is Here to Slay. Technically more of a card game than a board game, but it is really fun!
Where Monopoly
My favorite board game is based on an anime-esque web series.
Before i graduated. We have a game design class. One of my few now sophmore buddies. He made his and it was awesome. The cards he made looked identical to something from red dead redemption. The color, the look.
Also, i only heard of codenames from wildcat and nogla. But to me none of these count for me.
I'm more of a life,mon,uno,cards against,jackbox. Kind of guy.
Forbidden Island from 2010 and it’s sequel game Forbidden Desert from 2013 are two awesome cooperative games
Games I was surprised didn’t make the list over games that did: Castles of Burgundy, Dune: Imperium, Root, Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition, Concordia, Orleans, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Sleeping Gods, and Dominion, and Stone Age. Considering all the top 100 lists out there, a top twenty could be made over and over again for a 20ish year span. Many of the games selected were pretty legit, Sea Fall was the biggest surprise since it’s not generally rated well on average in the board game community. Personally, Final Girl, The Witcher: Old World, Ra (the 25th anniversary edition), Lost Ruins of Arnak, Revolution!, Tash Kalar, and Onitama are some of my most played and enjoyed.
Gamers will never agree and a top 20 games list, but this one makes no sense.
No settlers of Catan or secret hitler?
Shut up, Wesley!
R E Z O U R C E S
WHERE'S ZEUS ON THE LOOSE?!
The anime After School Dice Club has a heap of good games in it that weren't mentioned in this video.
Oh god. You need to be more specific. I knew one of these games
I'm posible que no te preocupes por el momento no sé si DjMaRiiO a la gana de
The only one of these I've played is Codenames. I must say it is a fantastic game for 6+ players. I may try some of these others though.
Ticket to ride!
#1, I think the Europe version is slightly better with the addition of the Ferry and Tunnel mechanics.
So many tried & true games that have withstood the test of time you didn't include for some reason. I think Monopoly would be at the top of the list, and Clue, Life, Trivial Pursuit, and many more. There was also a more complicated game we played back in the 70's that is still available, and is current in that it teaches you how to become a billionaire, and that's the name of the game, Billionaire! There are so many classic games you missed, are you sure you weren't going for the 20 best games of the last decade, and not century? You really missed the mark on this one as I have never heard of, or played any of these games, and they certainly aren't the best except in your eyes! 👎😎✌🗽
cards against humanity boxers or briefs blank slate more sociable games but they all of one thing in common there like the same concept of each other and hilarity or raunchy to the game however you play it
Disappointed once again. Watch mojo you should just stop making videos. Betrayal at the house in the hill is the best board game ever made.
Of all the legacy games you folks picked what is consider one of the worst, Seafall…
I'm shocked that Sentinels of the Multiverse and Gloomhaven didn't make it into this list.
Is setlers of Catan from before 2000? Can't believe its not there. Its a classic
Terrible list
Some other games to also check out
Organ Attack
Age of War
Splendor
Chameleon
Patchwork
Side Effects
Dominion, Splendor, Small World, Arkham horror TCG, Terra Mystica, BSG. Not even mentioned, they should be HM’s
As for games that should be in. Eclipse, Dune Imperium and actually Munchkin. Munchkin was really big in the start of the 2000s
This comment section makes me realize how many people are still stuck in the mass market games of the 20th century (they might still be ok and fun, but… )
The equivalent of people raging about Pacman, Frogger, Ping Pong, or Tetris not being in a list of modern videogames of the 21st century lol
Very silly.
So.. no Twilight Emperium 4e?
No Eclipse 2nd Dawn (personally like more than TWE)?
Not even D&D 5e?
What about games like:
Here to Slay
Villanous
Sabobatage
Monikers
Muffin Time
I'm not sure how code names made the list but dominion did not. Both are card games with no board, but dominion has spawned something like 14 expansions and is quite epic.
No.
No Dominion??? Honestly, it's as important as Catan, Carcasonne, Pandemic or 7 Wonders for board gamers
Monopoly
Seafall? Fucking Seafall?!
Better check BGG next time. Ticket To Ride Europe is more popular than the original and sold more. Welcome to America. Pffffft.
No Warhammer 40K = 1 Dislike
Seafall is pretty universally known as one of the most disappointing games of yhe century. Not sure how it (along with Dice Forge) made this list over Dominion and Gloomhaven.
Who needs screens when you have these amazing board games? They're the perfect remedy for digital overload, offering endless fun and opportunities for quality time with friends and family.
seafall…. really?!
